We have decided to host a YHA T-shirt design contest. Anybody can enter and the designs are due by September 18, 2007. The prize is a 7 inch portable DVD Player and a small duffel bag.

Paul and Minh lead their first formal meeting with the Board of Directors and members of the Youth Health Alliance. New officers were appointed including ideas proposed about a YHA T-shirt Design Contest.

5 May, 2007

YHA participates in WalkAmerica at Qwest Field, Seattle. An event held by the March of Dimes. The event was documented and can be viewed under "Videos" tab.

The Youth Health Alliance is dedicated to promoting health awareness to the youth of our community by means of providing information concerning health related issues. We achieve this goal by showcasing informational material in the form of brochures, presentations, e-mail, and videos. These prompts will be presented, as well as distributed to the community, including, schools, hospitals, and public facilities. We support and encourage advocacy, research in illnesses/diseases affecting youths both directly and indirectly, education of health awareness, and participation in fulfilling our mission. This mission is subject to changes as our organization becomes larger and changes will be verified and voted by the board of directors.

 

Our approach to educating the youth involves social marketing through Youtube, Myspace, and other social networking sites.
